Food and Sunset at Lantaw

A month into our 'workation' (work + vacation), we were committed to constantly treating our taste buds. After full shift on a Friday night, we all wanted to breathe some fresh air and enjoy some good food.

Destination: Lantaw Floating Restaurant in Cordova, Cebu

We girls wanted to dress up for the view. Thanks to the Forever 21 super sale a week before, I got a green high-low dress. Despite not getting some sleep yet, we went to the salon and had our nails done. Girls will always be girls.

Here's our #ootd. (Sorry, I couldn't find a better photo.)

We hit the road at 2pm and got there an hour after with just about the right amount of hunger for late lunch and early dinner in one.

They serve Filipino dishes ranging from grilled meat to kare-kare and halo-halo for dessert. The price is fair. It's not cheap, but it's not expensive either. The food tastes good so it will be worth your money. I was happy they serve drinks in mason jars. It goes with the ambiance the whole place brings.

They have a roofed restaurant, and they have an area for al fresco dining. You can be comfortable lounging on their comfy couch while waiting for food to be served and while cooling down after eating.

When the sun was not too hot anymore, just right before sun down, we moved to the open deck for some drinks. We got to enjoy the view of birds playing over water, while other guests started coming in for dinner. The al fresco deck was filled first, until the entire restaurant was. You better be there early to get a good spot.

They have open-air cabanas you can get at a fee if you want to be exclusive. But trust me, you wouldn't want to skip the happy yet calming feel of the place. It is better to stay where the people are. When it's dark, the place has warm light. As long as it doesn't rain, the place is perfect.

This photo is no downloaded wallpaper. It's the beautiful sunset reflected on water at Lantaw.

I will go back there when I visit Cebu, especially when I will have the luxury to not care about time and just enjoy the moment.
